FAQs
General
Q: Do I need coding experience to use Spaceship?
A: No. Spaceship is designed for non-technical users. Simply describe what you want in plain language.
Q: What kinds of applications can I build?
A: Spaceship can create a wide range of web applications including forms, dashboards, calculators, trackers, internal tools, and more. It's best suited for prototyping and validating ideas.
Q: How long does it take to build a prototype?
A: Simple applications can be generated in minutes. More complex prototypes may take longer but are still significantly faster than traditional development.
Security and data
Q: Where is my data stored?
A: All prototype data is stored in Singapore on GCC-OGP infrastructure.
Q: Can other users see my prototypes?
A: Prototypes are isolated by default. Prototypes will not be accessible on the public internet. Only public officers with the prototype URL can access it.
Q: What data classification can I use?
A: Spaceship is cleared for Restricted / Sensitive Normal and below only. Do not use it for higher classifications.
Q: Does the AI store my prompts or data?
A: The AI models used by Spaceship do not log or store your data.
Usage and limitations
Q: Can I use Spaceship for production applications?
A: Spaceship is designed for prototyping. Production applications should go through proper development and procurement processes. However, Spaceship prototypes can inform requirements for production systems. Do reach out to us at [email protected] if you have a prototype you plan on productionizing. We would love to work with you to see how to make that happen.
Q: Is there a limit to how many prototypes I can create?
A: There is no fixed limits to the number of prototypes you can build. However, we would highly encourage to focus on at fewer prototypes at a time to make full use of the iterative capabilities of Spaceship.
Q: Can I export the code from my prototype?
A: Yes, you can download and export the code after publishing the prototype. You should see a button appear to download the code.
Q: What happens if the AI makes a mistake?
A: Spaceship includes self-correction capabilities. If you notice issues, describe them in the chat and ask for corrections. Always review generated content before sharing.
Q: Can I access or modify environment variables for my published prototype?
A: Spaceship does not currently provide direct access to production environment variables for published prototypes. As a workaround, you can design your prototype without admin roles initially. If you have a specific need that absolutely requires environment variable access, reach out to [email protected] and we'll help you find a solution.
Accounts and access
Q: Who can use Spaceship?
A: Spaceship is generally available to Singapore public officers with valid government email addresses. However, as we are still in the pilot phase, please reach out to the team at [email protected] to be whitelisted.
Q: How do I get access?
A: Reach out at [email protected] for beta access.
